The main focus of this workshop will be to present and discuss the
impact of the global and intercultural context on communication and to help
participants have some further reflections and practice to develop their
Intercultural Communicative Competence (ICC).
In terms of content focus, the aim of the “Intercultural communication” class will be to present and discuss the impact of the global and intercultural context on communication and help the students acquire the requisite knowledge and competences:
• Taking into account the different cultural logics
• Learning to understand and respect identity-based issues in any communication process
• Understanding cultural and personal value dimensions that shape operational behaviours
• Being able to identify and prevent counterproductive intercultural conflicts
